Our country ain't secular yet...

I had gone for an excursion to Kochi with my schoolmates. Outside a museum there was this board having certain instructions. I took a picture of that board and have also posted the pic here.

The museum has even taken the effort to highlight the word "HINDU". Because of some idiotic blokes stupid social evils still exist. What kind of a rule is that anyway? Only hindus allowed! And this happens to be an important museum. It's just sick.

Well, I'd say, it isnt that bad, considering the radical fanaticism the country is being sweeped thru as of now. At least they dont kill people.

This has been there for a long time folks. when some temples requiring that 'hindu' guys should be bare-chested to enter the shrine can be accepted, then this could be accepted too.. only that in the first example, the regulation strips the individual's dignity while the issue mentioned in the post, strips the values of the society as a whole. simple as that.

one day hopefully, it will change.

Just Wait! One day things will change and all of us will be able to be anywhere without any restriction.

visith,

cool down. I guess the temple has a point to do so. since it is a temple museum they wanted to allow only ppl who have respect towards the hindu philosophy,idols...etc
there are some perverts in India..who are either newly converts(though not all) or who wants to convert shall mis-use or mis-behave there. and in kerala where hindus are not that majority have to fight it to protect it.
